This Project is the winner of the national contest of lighthouses and maritime signals. Located in the middle of a coastal urban nucleus inhabited essentially during summer time, the lighthouse emerges as an icon of the location between the Mediterranean and the orange trees orchad. The town of Nules appeared spontaneously and has no institutional buildings, that’s why the lighthouse provides an opened and public use space. It has been conceived as a viewpoint tower that supports a lantern 30 m above the ground. In the interior the stainless still lift, stairs and ramps invite to go up and enjoy the marvelous views in every direction. Open spaces in the limestone and concrete wall are opened, so that birds, the wind and the sun traverse freely the building.
Nowadays you can visit the lighthouse through Poseidón Asosiation, that organize some visits and actually are trying to promote the exhibition hall.
