Recovery of industrial warehouse for Centre for Entrepreneurship

The integral renovation of the old Freudenberg warehouse, which is not in use at present, situated in the Franca zone of Barcelona, is part of the “BZ Barcelona Zona de Innovación” masterplan. This recycling project is a prototype, adaptable to many other warehouses. As an enterprise technological innovation building its proposed use is to become an Entrepreneurs Centre.  In collaboration with LaSalle and Ramón Lull University a new program and the development of new creative and innovative ideas has been studied.

The intervention consists in the insertion of a new activating body along the warehouse dividing and organizing the single space into different areas with different functions and different sectorial activities.

A show gallery with the role of fostering dissemination, integration and entrepreneurial actions traverses as a dorsal spine the new  offices, workshops, services and social spaces. Recovering and reactivating the old structure is a sustainable action with important savings.

Plan BZ is an ambitious project and intends to attract the interest of food, technologyl, cultural leading companies and respond to the industrial and business needs of the  knowledge based industry of the new century.
